Hashim Aboobacker
A veteran entrepreneur and philanthropist, Hashim Aboobacker is a man for all seasons and reasons. A scholarly and much-travelled person, he is well-known in the social and business circles not only in the UAE but also in other Asian countries, especially the GCC. He began his career about 16 years ago in the UAE and soon evolved and established himself as a serial entrepreneur by successfully founding and leading several companies in different domains displaying his business acumen and risk-appetite. All his business ventures have developed into respectable businesses and their client list comprises leaders from different verticals including healthcare, FMCG, hospitality, manufacturing, retail and trading, et al. Not one to rest on past laurels, he is ever eager to accept newer role and responsibilities that come his way. Yet, he comes across as a much grounded and soft-spoken person who doesn’t lose an opportunity to help and support noble causes and the needy.
A people’s person – Hashim is a strategic planner with expertise in designing HR systems and procedures and contributing towards improved performance and enhancing organizational growth. An expert in spearheading recruitment activities, particularly from retail, trading and service sectors, his core competencies include HRM Generalist Affairs, HR Policies & Procedure, International Recruitment & Selection, Employee Relations, Contract Negotiations, UAE Labour Laws, and Mediation/Dispute Resolutions.
Moreover, he is an active member of international business associations in the UAE and has earned his stripes as a Lawyer, HR & Business Consultant, Marketing Expert, and Management Trainer. He is a member of the Bar Council of India since 2001.At the same time, he is a committed social activist who uses educational and cultural interventions as the tool to focus on the transformation of individuals and society.
Hashim Aboobacker holds multiple academic degrees including Master of Social Work (MSW -Human Resources & Industrial Relations Specialization), Bachelor of Law (LLB), Bachelor of Arts (Law) and certified in Transactional Analysis (TA) and Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).
As a socially committed entrepreneur, Hashim Aboobacker is the Director of Hope Child Cancer Care – an NGO based in Kerala. He is also a Board member with International Promoters Association (IPA), a business promoter network based in Dubai.
