A man with a vision that is rooted in humanity and philanthropy, Haris Kattakath is a multi-faceted personality who brings about a perfect balance between his business ventures and charitable as well as philanthropic activities.
As an entrepreneur who has business ventures in Kerala as well as the UAE, he is the Director of The Woods Resorts at Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad, and Managing Director of Middle East Pipes Installation Contracting (MEP), headquartered in Sharjah, UAE. As a philanthropist, he is also the founder of HOPE Child Cancer Care Foundation, which provides treatment and rehabilitation support to the young children with cancer.
HOPE was founded when Haris and his wife Suhada came to know that their toddler son was suffering from ependymoma, a form of pediatric cancer, while they were on a vacation in the US. They decided to stay back in the US for one year to take care of the treatment of their son and on returning back home, they decided to set up a facility to rehabilitate such children. That was how HOPE came into being with Haris as Chairman. HOPE started with a philosophy is that every child must get quality care, irrespective of their backgrounds or financial situation. It offers a network of services that provides end-to-end support from the moment of diagnosis to the completion of rehabilitation.
Despite being a successful businessman, his focus area is philanthropy, for which he founded HOPE. However, Haris is also an excellent communicator and is looked upon for his enterprising skills, limitless compassion, and unique ability to bring people together for a cause.
